Anchor Truth — Module 2
1
Step 1 Mate to Manager
2
Step 2 Manager to Leader
3
Step 3 Leading Teams
4
Step 4 Leading the Organisation

You've been promoted.
Now everything's different.

The people who were your teammates yesterday are now your direct reports. The conversations that used to be easy are suddenly loaded. You're expected to lead — but no one told you who to be.

This is the challenge every new leader faces. And most are left to figure it out alone.

  • You're trying to keep friendships while holding people accountable
  • You default to tasks because leading people is harder than it looks
  • You know what needs to change but aren't sure how to say it
  • You feel the weight of responsibility but not the confidence to match it
  • You're not sure where the old you ends and the leader begins
The Core Issue
"The story I believe determines the leader I become."

Most leadership programs teach you what to do. This program gets to the root of who you are. Built around the concept of Killing the CEO — the false self that drives behaviour, limits growth, and keeps leaders stuck — Step 1 will challenge your identity at its core and equip you to lead from a place of genuine strength, not fear or performance.

What the LifeRoad Logo Means

The arrow meeting the vertical line represents a critical moment — stagnation, setback, or a challenge to navigate. The gap between the arrow and the line is where you are, and where we work. Through partnership and commitment, we create the path towards breakthrough, growth and success.

Two days.
Eight modules.
One identity shift.

Day One — Foundation
1
Growth Mindset & Ownership
The story I believe determines the leader I become
2
Identity Shift
You cannot remain who you are and become who you are called to be

4

Your calendar reveals your true priorities
Day Two — Application
5

6
Feedback & Difficult Conversations
What you avoid today becomes what you manage tomorrow
7

8
90-Day Leadership Action Plan

How It's Delivered

Every module combines real facilitated discussion, hands-on experiential activities, personal reflection, and practical frameworks. This is not a lecture. You will be challenged, stretched, and equipped — and you'll leave with a clear 90-day plan to lead differently from day one back in your workplace.

Real shifts.
Not just insights.

🧠
A clear understanding of your identity as a leader — separate from your role or title
🔄
The ability to distinguish between managing tasks and leading people — and know when to do each
🗣
Communication tools that create clarity, reduce conflict, and build trust with your team
💬
Confidence to have the difficult conversations you've been avoiding
A rhythm of priorities that protects what matters and stops reactive busyness
📋
A personalised 90-day leadership action plan — ready to implement from day one

Who This Is For

This program is built for you if…

  • You've recently been promoted into a leadership or management role
  • You're leading people who were previously your peers or colleagues
  • You're a Christian business owner or leader wanting to lead with faith and integrity
  • You feel the gap between who you are and who you need to become
  • You want practical tools — not just inspiration — that you can use immediately
  • You're ready to do the deeper identity work, not just the surface-level skills

This program is not for you if…

You're looking for a passive seminar where you sit and take notes. This is experiential, hands-on, and challenging. You need to be willing to be honest about where you are and committed to growing.

Darren brings 25 years of leadership experience — from teaching, to outdoor education facilitation, to a decade as CEO of Emu Gully Adventure Education Group, where he led the organisation through rapid growth, COVID, significant cultural transformation, and eventually, personal burnout.

That journey — including the diagnosis of major depressive disorder and his eventual, complete surrender — became the foundation of both his book and the LifeRoad Leadership Pathway. Darren doesn't teach from theory. He teaches from the road.
